Privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of personal data collected through olko.agency is Aleksander Kołtyś, operating as unregistered business activity (działalność nieewidencjonowana) in Poland.
Contact for any privacy matter: contact@olko.agency.
2. What data is collected, and why
Contact form. When you submit the form on this site, the following is processed: your name, email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your business or brand name, current website address, project type, estimated budget and the message you write.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare and discuss a proposal.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract; and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest of responding to business correspondence.
- Providing the data is voluntary, but without a name and email address I cannot reply.
Free audit form. The “The Obviously Audit” section has its own, separate form. It processes two things: your website address and your email address.
- Purpose: to prepare and send you the audit, and to answer any questions that come out of it.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract; and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Both fields are required — without the address there is nothing to review, without the email there is nowhere to send the result.
Server logs. The hosting provider records standard technical data for every request (IP address, time, browser type, requested resource) in order to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Server-side statistics. Netlify may give me aggregate traffic figures counted from those same access logs — page views, most-visited pages, referring sources. This needs no cookies and no script in your browser, and it cannot identify an individual. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Browser analytics. This site currently runs no browser-side analytics at all — there is no Google Analytics or other tracking tool here, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, no script will run before you explicitly agree, and this policy will be updated first.
3. Who else processes the data
- Formspree, Inc. (United States) — delivers submissions from both forms to my inbox. The transfer outside the European Economic Area is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Netlify, Inc. (United States) — hosting and content delivery for this website, covered by the same safeguards.
- hosting-home.pl (Poland) — email hosting for the contact@olko.agency mailbox.
- jsDelivr — the public content delivery network this site loads its animation libraries from. As the page loads, your browser connects to it and passes on your IP address and browser details. It sets no cookies and is not used for tracking.
This site runs no Google Analytics and no other browser-side analytics tool.
I do use Google Search Console to see how the site performs in search results. It runs no script on this site, sets no cookies and collects nothing about your visit — it only shows me aggregate figures from Google’s own search engine, gathered before anyone reaches this site.
Your data is never sold, and is never shared for advertising purposes.
4. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies at all — neither its own nor anyone else’s — and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage.
Web fonts are served from this domain, not from Google Fonts, so no data about you is sent to a font provider.
5. How long the data is kept
- Enquiries: for the duration of the conversation and up to 24 months afterwards, so that I can pick up a thread you may return to. Longer if a contract results, for as long as accounting or limitation periods require.
- Server logs and the statistics counted from them: according to the hosting provider’s retention policy, typically no more than 12 months.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these, write to contact@olko.agency. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa.
7. Automated decision-making
Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
